# Staying Safe on Discord

### Identify Genuine Staff & Ambassadors On Discord

* In The **Desoflow** official Discord community, **staff will have blue usernames**. This is true for all staff, whether they are community managers, moderators, or support.
* We also have some Ambassadors in The **Desoflow** official Discord community. These are not staff members, but are trusted members of the community who can help you. **Ambassadors will have orange usernames**.

{% hint style="danger" %}
**COMMUNITY STAFF & AMBASSADORS WILL NEVER DO ANY OF THE FOLLOWING:**

* Send you a direct message (DMs) or friend request. Even if it's for support purposes (that's what the private support tickets are for).
* Send you information about sales, giveaways, contests, passes, NFTs, tests, and so on in DMs.
* Ask you to send funds or NFTs.
* Ask you for wallet seed phrases, wallet passwords, or account passwords.
* Ask you to connect your wallet to anywhere that is not an official The Ludopoly website ([**see the Official Links page**](broken://spaces/eVSfYFkFlGRKTB8wJVd7)).
* Ask you to re-verify / reauthenticate your wallet or similar.
 {% endhint %}

## Report Scams on Discord

{% hint style="info" %}
Learn more about [**Common Scams & Tactics**](#identify-genuine-staff-and-ambassadors-on-discord) in our [**Security Topics**](#identify-genuine-staff-and-ambassadors-on-discord).

The Discord Community - besides offering a place to communicate with others, share your content, reach out to the team, and seek support - also provides a place to safely and privately report scams and scammers to The Ludopoly.

## How to Report Scams

Visit the **Reporting Scams** channel, which is underneath the **Security & Anti-Scam** category.

You'll notice two red buttons to report scams in this channel:

* **Report a Website / Social Page**
* **Report a Person / Bot**

Select one and a quick form will pop up asking for the details of the address or individual you are reporting. Once you submit this, it is sent to all of The Ludopoly moderators, as well as their community managers.

The above methods are privately reported. You can also report a person or bot by typing **@Desoflow Moderators** to tag them in the relevant channel about the offending post, but it will be visible to other Discord users.
